SideSpace is an ongoing exploration of architectural edges-the alleys, porticoes and sidewalks that separate built and open space. I'm interested in how these spaces impact our perception; creating pockets of quiet, altering our sense of scale and offering up an alternative facade.  The project is a collection of juxtapositions-containment and expansion, shadow and light, stillness and movement, small figures and vast layered squares of walls.

In the language of buildings, alleys are the silent pause.
